One Month Later!
It's been a little over a month since we have returned home. Mac is adjusting very well. Infact, our whole family is adjusting quite well. We have been able to adjust to somewhat of a regular schedule. Madeline is a wonderful big sister. She does her best to keep Mac informed of all the goings on around our house. Mac is just a little character. To be very honest, I was not prepared for him to have such an out going personality. He just keeps up laughing all the time. He is so much fun. Keep checking back to our blog from time to time to see what's happening in the Blackburn household.

We Are Coming Home!
This will be our final post from China. We leave the
hotel @ 6:50am tomorrow morning. We can't wait to
get home. We are very excited to see everyone and to
let everyone meet Mac. He has adjusted extremely well.
God has truly blessed with this dear child. Our prayer is
that we can raise him in a way that will bring all glory to
Christ. Please be in prayer for us as we begin our long
journey home. (with airport layovers and flight times,
about 35 hours of travel). Thanks so much for all your
prayers and support. See you all real soon.
Love,
Jason, Kelly, Madeline, and Mac
P.S. Thanks for all the comments on the Blog.

More Pictures From China!
The rains have been unbelievable. However all is well
with us in China. Madeline and Mac are both doing great.
We have our US Consulate appointment on Thursday to
finalize our adoption in the eyes of the US government.
We leave on Friday morning for the journey home. We
are very anxious to get back to New Albany and the
comforts of home (this is the hardest bed that I have
every slept in). We are hopeful that it is not raining
at home. Keep us in your prayers as we travel. See you
in four days. Until our next post, check out some pictures
from the last few days.

Update to Father's Day Post
Just to let you all know. I realize that Tyler and Eli
are both Macs cousins instead of his uncle. Kelly pointed
out my late night goof-up when she watched my video this
morning. It was late and I was tired. I guess I shouldn't
post when I am sooooo sleepy. Better luck next time.

Happy Father's Day Update!
This has been the best Father's Day yet! All is well
with the Blackburn clan. Mac is adjusting very well.
It's like he has been with us from the beginning.
God is so good. Since our last post, we tried to visit
Mac's orphanage. After nine hours on a bus, extreme weather
and serious traffic kept us from getting to the orphanage.
We did however get to his city. Even with that disappointment,
life is great with "Baby Mac". Be sure to check out the
picture slide show. This slide show features some random
pictures from our trip. Until next time, please keep us
in your prayers.
Love,

Mac Blackburn's Gotcha Day Video
Sorry for the delay in posting. We have been very
busy with paperwork and typical baby stuff. Mac is
definitely keeping us busy. He likes to watch everything
that is going on around him and loves to run around in
the hallway of the hotel. We have to try to contain him
so he doesn't disturb all the other guests. Thank goodness
Madeline has prepared us well for his arrival.
We are pretty used to one being constantly on the move.
He has adjusted very well and continues to show us more
of his personality each day.
Yesterday we did paperwork in the morning and then
had his medical exam in the afternoon. He weighed
21 pounds and was 31 inches tall. Today we went to
Carrefour Market which is a lot like Wal-Mart for some
supplies. This afternoon we did paperwork to apply for
Mac's visa and tomorrow we will visit the orphanage.
It is about two and half hours away by bus, so please pray
for our safety. We should get to see a lot the countryside
on this journey and see where Mac spent the first 19 months
of his life. We love you all and miss you! We are ready
to get home. We are in need of a soft bed, vegetables at
Bryant's, and Mi Pueblo.

Gotcha Day!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow! All I can say is God is amazing! We have a beautiful, happy, healthy little boy who seems to be a bundle of energy. Mac did amazingly well as he was handed to us. He went to all of us and played with everyone. Once we got on the bus, he took a bottle and fell asleep. He is sleeping peacefully in his crib as I type. Madeline loves him and has been a great big sister today as you can see from the pictures. Mac seems to know what he wants and goes after it. Does that sound like anyone else you all know? There should be some interesting days ahead at the Blackburn house. I can't wait! We have two wonderful children and are humbled that God has blessed us so. Please continue to pray for us as we adjust to life as a party of four. God is good, all the time! All the time, God is good!

Blog Update 060708
Jason likes to video, but I am the typist.
We are feeling much better today after a
good night of rest last night. We got up
this morning anticipating a full day of
touring. However, when we met our guide,
he told us the tour would be cancelled due
to the heaviest rains of the year. I believe
it! We are having a traditional Chinese dim
sum lunch today and will either try the tour
again this afternoon or tomorrow. We have met
some of the folks in our travel group. They
seem very nice, and we are looking forward to
getting to know them better. We will update
later when there is something more interesting
to share.

Introducing Mac Blackburn

We are so excited that it is finally official!
Mac Blackburn is officially part of the Blackburn family.
He should be in our arms in about 5 to 8 weeks.
Yes, I said 5 to 8 weeks. That's about 3 months earlier
than we thought we would be traveling. We are so excited!
Check back later for more information about our
journey to get "Baby Mac".
